Two people working together on control of plant weeds in Belair National Park

Native Vegetation Council (NVC) Nature Restoration grants are for long term (5 - 10 year) projects that will provide a significant benefit to native vegetation by improving condition and increasing protection through a new Heritage Agreement. As such, these grants are not available for areas that are already protected e.g. by Heritage Agreement.

Grant rounds will be offered twice a year and will be open to select regions each round.

In the past 12 months the Native Vegetation Council has run 2 rounds and approved 19 applications sharing over $10 million to protect and improve 19,559 hectares of native vegetation.

Round Three will open on the 18th August 2025 and close 8th November 2025. It will be for landowners within Northern and Yorke, Eyre Peninsula, SA Arid Lands and Hills and Fleurieu regions.

A series of face to face, drop in sessions will occur through out the Northern and Yorke region, between 3 and 17 September 2025. For session locations click here.
