Two people working together on control of plant weeds in Belair National Park

Native Vegetation Council (NVC) Nature Restoration grants are for long term (5 - 10 year) projects that will provide a significant benefit to native vegetation by improving condition and increasing protection through a new Heritage Agreement. As such, these grants are not available for areas that are already protected e.g. by Heritage Agreement.

Grant rounds will be offered twice a year and will be open to select regions each round.

In the past 12 months the Native Vegetation Council has run 2 rounds and approved 20 applications sharing over $12.8 million to protect and improve 25,728 hectares of native vegetation.

Round Three grants closed 8th November 2025. It was available for landowners within Northern and Yorke, Eyre Peninsula, SA Arid Lands and Hills and Fleurieu regions. Decision notifications will be provided in the coming months.
