2020 SA Climate Leaders Award winners

Celebrating leaders in climate action – winners announced

The SA Climate Leaders Awards recognise the achievements of individuals and organisations who take action to address climate change in South Australia.

Entries for the awards were received from many different industries and sectors, including local councils, the building industry, community organisations and more.

Mr Tom Linnell, was awarded the $10,000 prize as the overall winner and winner of the community category for his work as a climate change educator. His work with students and Tension Woods College to deliver practical, curriculum aligned projects to progress towards their zero waste and off grid targets is innovative and inspiring.

A special honorable mention award was presented to Transmutation / Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs and the Conservation Council of SA for ‘the Joinery’ in recognition of their collaborative and inspiring work.

Winner: Australian Gas Infrastructure Group: ‘Hydrogen Park SA’
