Role of revegetation as habitat for birds

This study examined of a number of revegetation sites in Mallee areas of South Australia to investigate their usefulness as habitat for bird species.

The study aimed to determine:

  • the species and number of birds present at 12 revegetation sites across four localities
  • if any species of conservation significance were present
  • the complexity of the bird assemblages present at each sites as determined by feeding guilds
