The South Australian Government has introduced all-new Koala State number plates.
Plates will cost $151* for an existing vehicle registration, with $50 from each sale going toward a fund for the state’s wildlife rescue and rehabilitation sector.
The Department for Environment and Water (DEW) has been tasked with managing the fund and will work with the sector to determine how to best utilise funds raised to support the important work this sector undertakes.
Engagement is expected to occur in late 2023 once sales rates are known. Further information will be made available on this page.
*Koala Plates will cost $120 for new vehicle registration or $151 for an existing vehicle registration, both inclusive of a $70 plate fee and additional $50 for the wildlife fund. A $31 number plate reallocation fee will be applicable for already registered SA vehicles.
