In 2021, the Department for Environment and Water (DEW) launched the online Wildlife Permit System to facilitate online permit applications and streamline reporting requirements via an online record book and stock return.
DEW understands that there have been ongoing functionality issues that have made it challenging for permit holders to use the system. We are working to improve the usability of the online system, including introducing changes to the reapplication and reporting processes.
We are also investigating future system changes to improve engagement and increase user confidence. You can now sign-up to register your interest in future system testing and/or receive regular communication from us on system improvements and upgrades
