South Australian Environmental Trend and Condition Report Cards 2020

The latest suite of 41 report cards communicate the current condition of our natural environment, and how it is changing (trending) over time.

They encompass our key environmental assets, such as: water resources, native vegetation, and soil. They also set out our environmental pressures, such as pest plants and animals, climate, and air quality; and summarise the government’s management responses, including, marine protected areas, land protected areas, and water management.

These report cards present the most complete picture we’ve ever had on the successes and challenges South Australia faces in managing our natural resources, and will be used to support on-ground decision making at a local level, and inform policy making at a state level.

The report cards are a collaborative product of the Department for Environment and Water, EPA, Primary Industries and Regions SA, Bureau of Meteorology, and SA Health.
