Our Plan for Disability Access and Inclusion

At the Department for Environment and Water, we are committed to improving access and inclusion for people with disability, for both our staff and for the community who use our many facilities and programs. As part of this commitment, we have released our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan for 2020 to 2024.

Read the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (PDF, 0.6 MB).

Our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan is structured around the themes and priority areas of the Inclusive SA: State Disability Inclusion Plan 2019 to 2023:

  • Inclusive Communities for all
  • Leadership and collaboration
  • Accessible communities
  • Learning and employment.

We would like to acknowledge the many people who contributed to the development of this plan, including staff across the department and members of the public who provided feedback and contributed ideas.

Background

The Disability Inclusion Act 2018 requires each State authority, including DEW, to develop and publish a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) every 4 years which implements the Act and the state disability inclusion plan.
