Prescribed burn at Mylor
Date posted: 07 Nov. 2025
A prescribed burn is planned at Mylor in the Mount Lofty Ranges on Monday, weather conditions permitting.
The prescribed burn will start at 10.30am on 10 November 2025 and is likely to be completed by 5pm the same day.
- The area to be burnt is 0.8 hectares on two separate blocks of Adelaide Hills Council land between Stock Road, Leslie Creek Road and Hill Street.
- This is part of a series of burns planned for the Mylor area to reduce any potential impacts of bushfires.
- The walking track west of Hill Street will be closed throughout the burn.
- Smoke will be visible in the area, including from Stock Road, Aldgate Valley Road and Leslie Creek Road.
- Flames and smoke may be visible within the burn area for several days.
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) crews will remain on site until safe.
NPWS conducts a statewide program of prescribed burns to reduce the spread and intensity of bushfires, protect communities and enhance biodiversity.
Prescribed burning is just one tool used to reduce fuel loads across strategic areas of public and private land.
Prescribed burns will only be carried out when it is deemed safe to do so and may be cancelled at short notice.
