Get ready for mega fun at Mega Fest

In November Naracoorte Caves National Park will play host to Mega Fest, a festival celebrating the 25th anniversary of the caves being inscribed on the World Heritage list in 1994 and the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the Main Fossil Chamber in Victoria Fossil Cave in 1969.

Mega Fest will recognise not only the importance of the Naracoorte Caves to researchers, but also the significant contribution the park makes to the state and local economy.

The festival will be held on 24 November and will have a range of activities available for visitors to enjoy, including the World Heritage Trail Run, science talks, specially tailored heritage tours, farmers market, food, wine and entertainment.

Caves staff have worked with the local council and business and tourism association to develop this special festival, which is partly funded by the Commonwealth Government’s Building Better Regions Fund.

So why not book in a visit to the Naracoorte Caves on the 24 November – this event will be one you won’t want to miss.
