The website of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (ICAC) has a number of courses available on its online learning portal to help staff do their work in an ethical and professional manner.
Being part of the public sector means that each of us are accountable for our actions and we must act in accordance with relevant legislation and the Code of Ethics for the South Australian Public Sector.
DEW employees, just like all public sector employees, have an obligation to report any conduct they reasonably suspect involves corruption, serious or systemic misconduct, or serious or systemic maladministration to the Office for Public Integrity (OPI).
To assist staff to comply with this obligation, the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (ICAC) has an online learning portal (internal access only) which offers:
- ICAC Induction for Public Officers
- ICAC Conflicts of Interest Course
Please take the time to complete these courses. If you have previously completed them, you might consider taking the courses again to refresh your understanding. We all have a role to play to preserve and promote public sector integrity. Keeping these obligations in mind while we work remotely, is especially important.
