The end of financial year is fast approaching which means that all relevant contracts must be disclosed on the South Australian Government’s Tenders and Contracts website. Most contracts will also need to be entered into the DEW Contracts Register (internal access only).
Tenders and contracts website disclosure
Disclosure is required to prepare for end of year reporting to the State Procurement Board and Office of the Industry Advocate.
Contracts between a public authority and a consultant must always be disclosed, while contracts between a public authority and a private authority need to be disclosed in the following circumstances:
- Expenditure of public funds of $500,000 or more
- Provision of industry assistance of $200,000 or more. (Industry assistance may include a grant, loan, subsidy, taxation relief, guarantee or the provision of premises or facilities)
- Asset sales of $1,000,000 or more.
Please note that all threshold amounts listed in the above are inclusive of GST.
If your contract needs to be disclosed then you must complete the PC027 Disclosure of Government Contracts form located under Procurement - Contracts Template (internal access only) and return it to the Procurement Unit within 50 days of execution of contract, as disclosure on the website must occur within 60 days of the contract being executed. The information must also remain on the website for the term of the contract or twelve months, whichever is longer.
Contract disclosure is necessary to ensure DEW complies with the requirements of Premier and Cabinet Circular 027 for Disclosure of Government Contracts (internal access only).
DEW Contracts Register
Staff are also reminded to update the DEW Contracts Register (internal access only) by 30 June 2020 for all 2019-2020 procurement contracts above $33,000, including any variations or extensions to contracts. All sections in the register must be completed with dates and IPP (Industry Participation Plan) scores.
Further information about procurement is available on iShare via Business/Procurement (internal access only). To contact the Procurement Unit email DEW.Procurement@sa.gov.au.
