Help identify DEW’s accessible places

The Project and Asset Services Unit needs your help to identify DEW places and experiences that are suitable and accessible for people with limited mobility, vision impairment or mental health concerns like anxiety.

The unit is working with on-ground staff in parks and iconic tourism sites to formally assess these facilities and aims to provide descriptions for each one, including images and videos where possible, to help people decide which locations suit their abilities and strengths.

They also plan to invite feedback and recommendations from members of the public.

Places and experiences could include trails, boardwalks, carparks, toilets, signs, picnic grounds, accommodation, maps and peaceful spots in nature.

You can now view the new National Parks SA web page that lists some key accessible facilities.
