The South Australian Heritage Register contains information about places of heritage value in South Australia. It includes heritage areas, places and related objects of State significance. It contains information about heritage places in South Australia from other registers including local, commonwealth, national and world heritage places which are protected under legislation.
The Register is administered by the South Australia Heritage Council under the Heritage Places Act 1993.
There are over 2,290 confirmed State heritage places entered in the Register. Also 17 State heritage areas have been designated.
The Australian Heritage Places Inventory contains information about places in South Australia that are listed in State, Territory and Commonwealth Heritage Registers and Lists. The information is updated regularly.
NatureMaps is an interactive map that shows World, Commonwealth, National, State and Local heritage places and areas in South Australia.
The South Australian Heritage Places Database includes details about South Australia's local and State heritage places, objects and areas.
The Australian Heritage Database and contains detailed information about South Australia's World Heritage Places, National Heritage Places, Commonwealth Heritage Places and overseas places of historic significance to Australia.
