Rotary Club of Burnside’s Leadership in Conservation and Volunteer of the Parks Awards

Nominations are now open for the Rotary Club of Burnside’s 2019 Leadership in Conservation and Volunteer of the Parks Awards. These awards are to recognise the dedication and contribution of staff and volunteers in the conservation and protection of some of South Australia’s valuable landscapes, including our national parks.

The two award categories include:

  • Leadership in Conservation
  • Volunteer of the Parks.

Winners of the awards will be announced at the Award Presentation lunch, which will be held on 26 May 2019 at the Hackney Hotel. Book your seat

Nominations close Thursday 28 March 2019.

About the awards

Leadership in Conservation Award

The Leadership in Conservation Award is to recognise the dedication of Department of Environment and Water staff members or employees from other departments and agencies who are working on a DEW project and/or fit the criteria of being a leader and role model to others, being innovative, and thinking and working with a view to the future.

The winner will be awarded $500 towards professional development of their choice (e.g. training course or conference).

Volunteer of the Parks Award

The Volunteer of the Parks Award is to recognise an individual who is going above and beyond as a volunteer looking after our natural resources in a national park or on other land and is a member of a Friends of Parks Inc. or other environmental group. 

The winner will be awarded $500 towards a project or professional development of their choice.
