The Botanic Gardens of South Australia’s annual Garden Blitz returns to Mount Lofty Botanic Garden on Saturday 14 October, allowing the public to enjoy a fun morning of gardening and a free barbecue lunch.

Volunteers of all ages and gardening abilities will have the opportunity to contribute to the Garden’s fascinating cool-climate collection, helping it shine ahead of its 40th anniversary celebrations.

Starting at 8:30am sharp, volunteers will work alongside friends, family, like-minded green thumbs and Garden staff to plant beautiful flowers such as foxgloves and coneflowers, and help with mulching and weeding.

Then, at 12:30pm, it’s tools-down for a free sausage sizzle to celebrate your achievements.

Numbers are limited to 100 people so get in fast. Participants are encouraged to wear long pants, a hat and sturdy shoes, and a pair of gloves if you have them.

We can't wait to see you there!
