National Parks - you've got to get out there!
There are plenty of ways you can enjoy nature in Parks Month 2008 More Information.
The Great Australian Bushwalk is an event to promote the benefits of bushwalking.
In 2008 the event will be held on Sunday September 14 at Black Hill Conservation Park, Athelstone between 10am-2-pm. Community members are invited to join a free bushwalk led by the Nature Conservation Society. Bring a picnic, relax after the walk and find out about other bushwalking opportunities. Parks Alive! is a South Australian state-wide program of community events and activities in neighbourhood parks and reserves to be held on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October 2008.
Parks Alive! aims to build a stronger sense of neighbourhood in your local community. The program could incorporate an exciting range of activities including arts, culture, health, recreation and the environment. Or it could be as simple as a BBQ or family picnic!

Heart Foundation Walking - Parks Walks invites community members to participate in free monthly recreation walks led by volunteer walk organisers in their local natural environments. These 1 - 2 hour walks through various parks cater for a variety of ages and fitness levels.
This program is a Heart Foundation initiative supported by our - Healthy Parks, Healthy People program.
