Martindale Hall Unsolicited Proposal
Date posted: 05 August 2015
The South Australian Government has received an unsolicited proposal for the purchase or long-term lease of the Martindale Hall property.
Martindale Hall, the Coach House and other structures are listed on the State Heritage Register and managed by the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) as the Martindale Hall Conservation Park.
The proponent (Martindale Hall Partnership) aims to create a wellness retreat and five-star resort.
DEWNR is leading the process for assessing this proposal under the Guidelines for Assessment of Unsolicited Proposals. The guidelines provide a framework for the Government to consider proposals from a private entity without formally being requested by Government to submit a proposal.
Unsolicited Proposals Assessment Process
Stage 1: Initial Proposal
The initial proposal has undergone a preliminary assessment by the Office of the State Coordinator-General.
