Make friends at Parks Week

Friends of Parks are running free activities throughout Parks Week. Help clean up incredible sites such as Lincoln National Park, discover the highlights of Belair National Park on a guided walk, find out ant secrets with Professor Chris Daniels, and lend a hand at Shepherds Hill Recreation Park and O’Halloran Hill Recreation Park. Find out more about the activities below.
Saturday 2 March
- Join the Friends of the O’Halloran Hill Recreation Park for a working bee from 8am to 10am. Call John on (08) 8296 6730 for details.
- Join the Friends of Shepherds Hill Recreation Park working bee and morning tea from 9am to 12pm. Work on weeds including olive, rice millet and scabious. All tools and protective equipment will be provided and the preferred control techniques will be demonstrated. Meet at the car park at Ayliffes Road, St. Marys, at 8.50am. Up to 10 visitors are welcome, please RSVP to Alan at firstname.lastname@example.org or 8276 7958.
- The Friends of Belair National Park gather at 1pm at the Belair National Park Volunteer Centre, Long Gully, for their general meeting. The meeting includes an interesting talk on ants by Professor Chris Daniels and the public is always welcome.
