Chowilla Game Reserve and Regional Reserve

Explore Chowilla Game Reserve and Regional Reserve along the walking trails that wind through great stands of the majestic river red gum and the hardy black box. Discover the peaceful waterways of the River Murray by canoe and observe the diverse birdlife.

The Game Reserve is an integral part of the Riverland Biosphere Reserve and comprises 18,000 hectares of floodplains and wetlands. The Regional Reserve features vast stands of mallee woodland, black oak and bluebush shrublands that stretch from the floodplain through to Danggali Conservation Park and Wilderness Protection Area to the north.

You can walk your dog in this park providing it remains under your control on a lead.
