Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre National Park - current status 2014

After the five years of water in Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, the lake is now dry.
With summer being the monsoon season, people will be looking north to see if there will be any significant rains triggered by the monsoon season and cyclones. Time will tell if there will be events large enough that may lead to creeks and rivers flowing into Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre in 2014.
The best way to see the enormity of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre is from the air. A number of tour operators offer ground and/or flight tours.
