Cobbler Creek Recreation Park
Discover the ruins of one of the area's first European farms at the Cobbler Creek Recreation Park.
Explore the park’s woodlands and open grasslands by foot or bike on the network of shared-use trails. There are a number of trails to choose from:
- Beginners circuit – 150 m
- Easy does it circuit – 250 m
- KAFNARFA circuit – 1.5 km
- Mai Tappa circuit – 2.2km (walking trail only)
- Porosa hike – 3 km (a section of this trail north of Cobbler Creek is for walking only)
- Valley circuit – 4 km
- Ruins loop – 3 km
- Babbler loop – 3 km
- Short and sweet – 1.7 km
Remember to watch out for birds of prey such as the Australian kestrel which scours the grasslands for mice and lizards. Red-rumped parrots and crested pigeons can often be seen searching the ground for seeds, while red wattlebirds and lorikeets feed on the nectar of the flowering gums.
You can walk your dog in this park along designated walking trails, provided it remains under your control on a lead.
Cobbler Creek Recreation Park is located 19km north of Adelaide. Access is via Bridge Road, The Grove Way and Green Valley Drive.
The park is open from sunrise to sunset every day.
Wood fires, solid fuel fires and gas fires are prohibited throughout the year.
