Moorings program
The South Australian moorings program provides protection to the state's marine environment and significant shipwreck sites from recreational and charter vessels that share its waters.
As part of the program, mooring buoys have been installed to minimise anchor damage by these vessels to the shipwrecks, artificial reefs and to the corals, sponges and other marine life surrounding them.
Mooring buoys are located at the following shipwreck locations:
Wardang Island Wrecks
Songvaar
Investigator
Australian
MacIntyre
Moorara
Kangaroo Island
Portland Maru
Gulf St Vincent Sites
Norma
Star of Greece
Zanoni
Ardrossan Barge
