Below are some links to applications that use spatial information to meet specific business needs. This page will be added to as new applications are developed.

 

Property Assist

PropertyAssist provides a single access point to South Australia's Spatial Land Information. PropertyAssist seamlessly integrates spatial land information from State Government agencies to provide you with up-to-date information from various "on-line" databases. A sample of the information currently available is:

  • Certificate of title details
  • Valuation details
  • Graphical view of allotment boundaries
  • Property and building details.

 

PlaceNames Online

PlaceNames Online provides a simple search tool for obtaining useful information from the State Gazetteer.

The State Gazetteer is a database of place names in South Australia. The general aim of the database is to record any place name that is, or has been used, in South Australia. Associated with each name is up to 38 fields of information relating to feature type, classification, location, derivation and cross-reference to current, previous and alternative names.

 

Maps On-line

Maps On-line is still in the trial stages and enables access to detailed South Australian planning information and other Geographic Information System (GIS) databases. Information is presented in a series of interactive GIS maps. There is a map for each planning region in South Australia. More than simply viewing static maps, Maps On-line users can browse, explore, and query these maps.

 

Online Atlas of South Australia

The online Atlas of South Australia is an initiative of the South Australian Government to provide a common access point to maps and geographic information about South Australia in an interactive atlas format.

 

Australian Coastal Atlas

This application allows the user to view layers of information about the Australian coast. Users can even print out their own customised map. The Atlas includes maps and images of the coastal zone showing information about water quality, climate, fisheries and

From the Charles Sturt University, this provides an integrated Web interface to the GMT 3.0 (Generic Mapping Tools) package and a geographic database.

 

ICMISS

The Integrated Community Mapping Information and Support System (ICMISS) is an initiative of NSW Government natural resource agencies led by the Department of Land and Water Conservation (DLWC). ICMISS is an open technology platform for locating, integrating and presenting natural resource information from data sources in a range of formats and at distributed sites.
