Land and Property Information

Cadastral Information - (legal land parcel and property boundary data)

The Digital Cadastral Data Base (DCDB) provides a graphical view of all legal land parcels in South Australia. For further information, please refer to the DCDB Fact Sheet (31Kb PDF) and DCDB Information Sheet (56Kb PDF).

The Property Cadastre provides a graphical view of the State's property boundaries. For further information, please refer to the Property Cadastre Fact Sheet (32Kb PDF) and Property Cadastre Information Sheet (446Kb PDF).

Administrative & Road Centre Line Data Sets - These are generally DCDB dependent datasets used for administrative purposes such as Local Government Areas, Suburbs, State and Federal Electorates etc. Refer to Administrative Datasets Fact Sheet (31Kb PDF), Administrative Datasets Information Sheet (982Kb PDF), Road Centreline Network Fact Sheet (29Kb PDF) and Road Centreline Network Information Sheet (326Kb PDF).

Mapping - South Australian

As South Australia's custodian of environmental and geographic data, the Environmental Information (EI) directorate produces standard map products including topographic, cadastral and image maps in hard copy or digital format. All standard maps are available through our sales outlet Mapland.

In addition to standard products, the Spatial Projects Unit produce map products customised to client requirements from EI's and other agency datasets.

Survey Mark Information

Information is available for all survey marks placed within South Australia. The Survey Data Base (SDB) provides coordinates, elevation values and reference to connecting plans of survey while SurveyMark Map displays the location and identity of survey marks for searching purposes.

Topographic Information - natural and built features

Topographic Information, one of the fundamental geographic data elements, is stored in EI's Environmental GIS (EGIS) System. The topographic themes include Relief, Hydrography, Transport and Cultural features.

Remote Sensing

The range of aerial photographic products is enhanced by the provision of satellite imagery as a commercial service, providing customers with a fast and cost-effective way of monitoring changes in land use over large areas.
