These highly significant Areas range from Innamincka (Cooper Creek),
the Arckaringa Hills and Beltana in the north to Penola, Mount Gambier
and Mount Schank in the south-east. State Heritage Areas are also
located at the mid-north towns of Burra and Mintaro, the Moonta
Mines site in Yorke Peninsula's Copper Triangle, and the river port
of Goolwa. Closer to Adelaide are the Hills towns of Hahndorf and
Mount Torrens, the southern suburb of Colonel Light Gardens and
historic precincts within metropolitan Port Adelaide and Gawler.
