Consultation closed but work is still underway
Consultation on the draft management plan for Breakaways Conservation Park has now closed. Submissions are now being reviewed and work on the plan continues.
Community consultation is an important aspect of the process and we thank all those who provided their feedback.
The final plan will be available on the DEWNR website when it has been adopted by the Minister for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation.
The Breakaways Conservation Park Draft Management Plan has been released for public consultation over a three month period to facilitate community input into the development of a management plan for the park in accordance with section 38 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972.
The draft plan sets out objectives and strategies for the ongoing protection and conservation of the natural and cultural values of Breakaways Conservation Park. The draft has been developed by the Breakaways Conservation Park Co-Management Board.
