About the State Natural Resources Management Program

The State NRM Program is the South Australian Government’s investment initiative to financially support the effective management of the state’s natural resources. The Program seeks to contribute to targets in South Australia’s Strategic Plan, the State NRM Plan (3.27mb pdf) and regional NRM plans across South Australia.

Implementation of the program is consistent with the South Australian Government’s policy of supporting the regional delivery of integrated management of natural resources. The funding complements the Australian Government’s Caring for our Country initiative.

The State NRM Program provides funding through two main streams:

  • NRM Projects which are available to NRM regions and state NRM agencies, and
  • NRM Community Grants which provide support to volunteer and community groups for local land care, coast care and water care projects.
