The Small Headed Toadlet is a very rough skinned species that is most common in eastern Australia. Its most distinguishing characteristic is its small head. Its skin is scattered with fine orange spots. The throat is grey and is sometimes peppered white. The belly is mostly white with some brown stippling.

Size: Males 19-27 mm; Females 27-28 mm.

Habitat: Found in mulga woodland and at waterholes bounded by coolibah trees.

Advertisement call: A short 'Craak' sound.
