About us

Environmental Education Unit

We promote environmental education for sustainability by engaging the community in environmental learning and action.

The Unit supports the Department for Environment and Heritage to develop community and school education programs. These programs aim to encourage positive behaviour change towards the environment.

We support environmental education for sustainability through youth engagement initiatives like the Youth Environment Council and Sustainable Schools. We offer advice on environmental education for sustainability methods and practices. By working in partnerships we deliver training programs to environmental educators and the community.
