The Conservation Policy and Programs directorate of the Department for Environment and Heritage in South Australia is responsible for the development of strategies and policies relating to the department's Coast and Marine Conservation program.
The program comprises two sub-programs - Coast and Marine Conservation Services and Coastal Protection Services - managed by the Coast and Marine Conservation Branch and the Coastal Protection Branch, respectively.
The Living Coast Strategy (700Kb PDF) provides direction to both branches in the conservation, management and protection of the State's coast and marine environments.
