Plants, gardens and horticulture

Help us look after our internationally renowned botanic gardens at Adelaide, Mount Lofty and Wittunga, inspiring the next generation and connecting them with plants through our Endowment Fund.

Botanic Gardens of South Australia encompasses 194 hectares, featuring world class collections, a base for important scientific research and beautiful destinations for the public to enjoy and explore.

We rely on the generous support of the community – every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference at the Botanic Gardens!

  • maintain our Nursery at Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, which propagates plants our three Gardens and engages in important conservation work;
  • look after our rich built heritage, which includes three exquisite glasshouses spanning three centuries and housing world-class plant collections.
