Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide Inc

The Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide provide over 11,000 hours of voluntary service to the Gardens each year by staffing the Visitor Information Centre, being a Garden Guide, helping in the Library and in various other ways. In doing so members have fun and meet new friends with similar interests.

Bequests and Donations

The Botanic Gardens of Adelaide has a long and successful tradition of private bequests and donations which have provided facilities in the Gardens of lasting interest and benefit to visitors, and made important research programs possible.

The Adelaide Botanic Garden is one of Adelaide’s best loved scientific and cultural institutions and one of the most significant botanic gardens in Australia. Since opening in 1855, donations and bequests have helped us to achieve this standard.

Your generosity today, will ensure that through effective garden management and innovative education and research programs, the Gardens can continue its important role in the cultural fabric of South Australia.
