The South Australian Arid Lands Biodiversity Strategy has been prepared in partnership with the South Australian Arid Lands Natural Resources Management Board and is a direct whole of government partnership response, within the South Australian Arid Lands, to South Australia's Strategic Plan target of ‘lose no species’. The Strategy provides an overarching framework to halt and where possible reverse the decline in the regions terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity over the next ten years. The Strategy consists of six documents that identify the priority actions to conserve biodiversity within the South Australian Arid Lands. These include:

You can also contribute to the development of Strategy by providing feedback on the draft strategy at the following upcoming public consultation session. What Will Happen To Your Submission:Public submissions will be referred to the Arid Lands NRM Board for consideration and comment. The Department for Environment and Heritage will provide comments on the submissions based on the above criteria. After considering all submissions, advice and recommendations the Arid Lands NRM Board and the Department for Environment and Heritage will finalise the biodiversity strategy and it will be made available for downloading from both the SA Arid Lands NRM Board and Department for Environment and Heritage's websites. The closing date for public submissions is 30 June 2008.
