Volunteers help us care for our parks and heritage places and ensure they will continue to amaze, surprise, refresh and inspire for generations to come.
There's so much to do. We're sure you'll find the volunteering role that's right for you - something that fits your needs and challenges your strengths; a role that will allow you to make your own personal difference. Our volunteers work in a wide range of activities, find out about them.
The Volunteer Support Unit (VSU), based in Adelaide, coordinates the large network of Friends Groups, Campground Hosts, individuals and international volunteers.
Each individual group reports to, and is supported by, a Liaison Ranger. This ensures that the activities of Friends Groups are jointly planned in accordance with park management plans and policies and that they have consistent standards. The VSU also coordinates information and expertise sharing across all the Groups.
