The 2013 Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) Volunteer Awards recognise individuals and groups working directly with DEWNR for their voluntary contribution to the environment.
Whilst the efforts of all volunteers are valued, DEWNR takes special pride in honouring volunteers and volunteer groups who go above and beyond and inspire us all through their achievements.
Outstanding Achievement Award – Individual Contribution
The Outstanding Achievement Award – Individual Contribution may be awarded to an individual, couple or family who volunteer in any capacity, including, but not limited to, biodiversity, heritage, partnerships, indigenous issues and projects, education, trails and community engagement.
Outstanding Achievement – Volunteer Group Project
Three awards will be presented in 2013. The Outstanding Achievement Awards may be awarded to groups who volunteer in any capacity, including, but not limited to, biodiversity, heritage, partnerships, indigenous issues and projects, education, trails and community engagement.
The awards are open to volunteers working directly with DEWNR, eg Friends of Parks members, project/individual volunteers, volunteers working under a specific DEWNR program.
Recognition of award winners
The winner/s will receive $1,250 to further their conservation and/or natural resource management goals.
How to nominate
Nominations can be made by an individual, volunteer group, staff member or community member. Complete one of the nomination forms below and send your completed form to us by Friday 26 July 2013.
