Parks to close due to bushfire

The Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) is closing two conservation parks in the Adelaide Hills due to a bushfire in Cherryville.

DEWNR Chief Executive Allan Holmes said Kenneth Stirling Conservation Park at Balhannah and Cherryville and Montacute Conservation Park at Montacute would be closed from 3pm today (10 May) until midnight on Sunday May 12.

The parks are being closed in the interest of public safety.

“To ensure the safety of park goers, the parks will be closed while the bushfire is being contained,” Mr Holmes said.
