Date posted: 14 March 2013

The community is invited to have a say and help develop priorities at an upcoming Weed and Vermin Forum.

The Forum will be held at Parilla Sports Club on Wednesday 20 March 2013, from 2pm onwards with a BBQ tea supplied.

Community input is sought around:

  • current process for roadside control
  • local weed priorities
  • mapping - weed and vermin hot spots
  • declared plants and what this means for landholders
  • weed and vermin control in Parks
  • Branched Broomrape - will it be an issue in the Southern Mallee?
  • improving sandy soils.

For further information or to RSVP please contact Helane Norman on (08) 8578 1493 or email at helane.norman@sa.gov.au.

This forum is hosted by the Mallee and Coorong NRM Group, which is a committee of the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board. The group provides information and advice on local NRM issues.
