Date Posted: 25 January 2012Come and discover the incredible story of a Dolphin Tale on Saturday 28 January at Botanic Park.
Moonlight Cinema, in Botanic Park, is screening the movie Dolphin Tale - and its your last chance for a family fun night out before school goes back.
Dolphin Tale (rated PG) is based on an inspiring true story of a dolphin called Winter, who loses her tail after being caught in a crab trap.
A young boy – Sawyer – rescues Winter from the trap and asks "how’s a dolphin to swim without a tail?"
With help from friend Hazel and her dad Dr Haskett from the Clearwater Marine Hospital, Sawyer seeks the assistance of a specialist to design a prosthetic tail to ensure Winter’s survival.
With the new tail Winter is able to swim again, and her future looks bright. A Beautiful relationship is formed between Winter and her human friends.
Dolphin Tale is a heart warming story of compassion, determination and man’s innovation to assist injured animals. It stars Harry Connick Jr, Ashley Judd, and Morgan Freeman.
Staff from the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary will be present at the Moonlight Cinema to explain how people can help to protect Adelaide’s own dolphins from injury - ensuring what happened to Winter doesn’t happen to them.
