The Heritage Advisory Service offers professional advice to local councils, communities and individual owners about the conservation of heritage places.

Heritage Directions

Heritage Directions is the strategic policy framework for heritage in South Australia. A key issue identified in Heritage Directions is that local heritage places are inadequately protected and Councils have a limited ability to provide speedy protection in an emergency. These issues have generated considerable public concern and uncertainty, and require an integrated response.
