Biodiversity strategy for the SA Arid Lands
The South Australian Arid Lands Biodiversity Strategy has been prepared in partnership with the South Australian Arid Lands Natural Resources Management Board. It is a direct whole of government partnership response, within the South Australian Arid Lands, to South Australia's Strategic Plan target of 'lose no species'.
The Strategy provides an overarching framework to halt, and where possible reverse, the decline in the region's terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity over the next ten years.
The Strategy consists of six documents.
Volume one identifies the region-wide goal for biodiversity conservation and sets resource condition targets, management action targets and regional strategies to achieve this goal.
Volumes two to six are separate documents, each identifying conservation priorities for each of the bioregions in the South Australian Arid Lands.
- Volume 1 - South Australian Arid Lands Region-wide Priority Actions (2.55mb pdf)
- Volume 2 - Channel Country Conservation Priorities (8.96mb pdf)
- Volume 3 - Flinders and Olary Ranges Conservation Priorities (8.43mb pdf)
- Volume 4 - Gawler Conservation Priorities (12.38mb pdf)
- Volume 6 - Stony Plains Conservation Priorities (13.08mb pdf)
